Our responsibilities
Our Caretaking and Caretaking Responsive Teams are responsible for cleaning and safety inspections in:
- 857 low rise blocks of flats
- 8 high rise blocks of flats
- 11 community living schemes
- 13 Supported Accommodation schemes
The Caretaking Team responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and reporting issues within the communal areas of blocks
- Checking for asbestos disturbance
- Reporting fire risks
- Cleaning each block
- Reporting repairs
There is a caretaker or warden on site from Monday to Friday at all high-rise blocks, supported accommodation, and community living schemes who can help with any issues.
The mobile caretakers attend all the low-rise blocks every 2 weeks, between Monday and Friday.
The Caretaking Responsive Team responsibilities include:
- Removing bulky waste collections and flytipping
- Removing fire risks
- Clearing empty void properties in flats houses, and gardens
- Removing overgrowth
- Pressure washing courtyards and carrying out a yearly deep clean of bin areas
- Cleaning supported accommodation schemes
- Removing graffiti
