Our responsibilities

Our Caretaking and Caretaking Responsive Teams are responsible for cleaning and safety inspections in:

  • 857 low rise blocks of flats
  • 8 high rise blocks of flats
  • 11 community living schemes
  • 13 Supported Accommodation schemes

The Caretaking Team responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and reporting issues within the communal areas of blocks
  • Checking for asbestos disturbance
  • Reporting fire risks
  • Cleaning each block
  • Reporting repairs

There is a caretaker or warden on site from Monday to Friday at all high-rise blocks, supported accommodation, and community living schemes who can help with any issues.

The mobile caretakers attend all the low-rise blocks every 2 weeks, between Monday and Friday.

The Caretaking Responsive Team responsibilities include:

  • Removing bulky waste collections and flytipping
  • Removing fire risks
  • Clearing empty void properties in flats houses, and gardens
  • Removing overgrowth
  • Pressure washing courtyards and carrying out a yearly deep clean of bin areas
  • Cleaning supported accommodation schemes
  • Removing graffiti
