Addison House is in Rumney, Cardiff. The scheme has 44 self-contained flats, including:

  • 32 one-bedroom flats, and
  • 12 two-bedroom flat.

The scheme is at the top of Newport Road, with spectacular views over the Bristol Channel to the south and Caerphilly mountain to the north.  There are many local amenities close by.  The scheme has two superb communal rooms, and beautiful, landscaped gardens with a pagoda and seating area outside. There is also a roof top terrace to enjoy the views. Residents are welcome to invite friends or relatives to stay in the twin-bedded, ensuite guest room which can be booked for £10 per night.

A scheme manager is available during office hours from Monday to Friday to offer advice on day-to-day issues and to help in an emergency. Each flat also has an alarm linked to Telecare offering 24-hour support and reassurance when the scheme manager is not on site.

To make access easier for all contract holders, Addison House has:

  • level and ramped access to the scheme,
  • lift to upper floors,
  • automated entrance doors,
  • wheelchair accessible flats and communal areas,
  • accessible garden, and
  • grab rails.

 

Addison House has been accredited with the Royal National Institute for Blind People for housing sight standard. The scheme has achieved platinum standard:

  • through the continuous development of staff knowledge and skills, and
  • by creating home environments that enhance quality of living.

Each flat at Addison House has its own kitchen and bathroom. Other facilities include:
