Minton Court is in Tremorfa, Cardiff. The scheme has recently been refurbished and offers 30 self-contained flats, including:

  • 5 two-bedroom flats, and
  • 25 one-bedroom flats.

The communal lounge is bright and welcoming with a small private room where you can have a chat about anything personal with staff.  The ensuite guest bedroom allows friends or family to stay overnight, which can be booked for £10 a night. Residents can take advantage of the scheme’s gardens and outside seating areas and can take part in regular social events if they wish.

A scheme manager is available during office hours from Monday to Friday, to offer support and advice and to help in an emergency. Each flat has an alarm linked to Telecare, offering 24-hour support and reassurance.

Accessibility of the scheme

To make access easier for all contract holders, Minton Court has:

  • level and ramped access to the scheme,
  • lift to upper floors,
  • stair lift,
  • automated entrance doors,
  • wheelchair accessible communal areas,
  • accessible garden and,
  • grab rails

 

Minton Court is working towards accreditation with the Royal National Institute for Blind People for housing sight standard. The scheme is also aiming to achieve platinum standard by:

  • the continuous development of staff knowledge and skills, and
  • creating home environments that enhance quality of living.

Each flat has its own kitchen and bathroom. Other facilities include:

  • a scooter room – for charging mobility scooters,

Residents can take part in social activities if they want. The activities include:
